Pre Tournament Tips

Winner
You pick your top 3 teams for who you think will win the tournament. You need to rank these in your order of favouritism as points will be awarded depending on where the winner is ranked in your list. Points will be scored as follows.
If one of you 3 teams Wins you get;
1. 10 pts 2. 5 pts 3. 2 pts
If one of your teams is runner up
1. 4 pts 2. 2 pts 3. 1 pts

Golden Boot
If your choice for top goal scorer for the European Championships is correct you get;
7 pts

Finalists
If you correctly pick the 2 finalists you score points. No points are awarded for getting one of the finalists.

Dark Horse
You nominate an outsider that you see doing well. Points will be given to the tipper who’s team gets the furthest in the European Championship. Teams that cannot be chosen in this category are; Czech Rep, Portugal, Germany, Croatia, France, Italy, Holland, Spain,

Player of the Tournament
Choose a player that you feel will be regarded as the most outstanding performer at the European Championships. This is obviously going to be a little bit of an subjective category, but the referee’s decision is final. If this category become to much of an issue, which I can see it becoming, then it will be disregarded. The wording in the first line is intentional “will be regarded as the most outstanding performer”. It doesn’t read the player you will regard as the best performer, so picking someone obscure in a team not likely to progress far (or picking a goalkeeper, who are never going to be regarded as best performer unless they make marauding runs and score goals) is obviously not going to get you many points.
